You can assemble and reasonably use your KUUL chair indoors for 14 days from the date of delivery.
If it isn’t right for you, you can request a voluntary return within the 14-day trial period.
To qualify for the voluntary Comfort Trial:
Comfort Trial return costs:
Once your return is approved, we’ll provide instructions and a reasonable return deadline, normally within 14 days of approval.
These conditions apply to voluntary Comfort Trial returns and do not restrict your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changed your mind but haven’t opened your chair?
You can request a return within 30 calendar days of delivery, provided the chair is:
The return options and refund arrangements below also apply.
For both Comfort Trial and unopened returns, you can choose one of three options once your return is approved.
Option A — Drop-off
Deliver the chair to a KUUL-authorised Australian returns facility, with our prior approval.
Option B — Your own courier
Arrange and pay for your preferred courier to deliver the chair to the authorised return address we provide.
Option C — KUUL-arranged collection
Please contact us before sending or dropping off your chair. We’ll share return instructions and the designated return address, so your chair can be scheduled to be received.
For approved voluntary returns:
If an order contains multiple chairs, we’ll calculate the refund for the chair or chairs being returned and explain any applicable promotional adjustments.
Returns involving damage beyond reasonable trial use, missing components or incomplete packages will be assessed individually. We’ll contact you before deciding how to proceed.
These voluntary-return fees and conditions apply only to change-of-mind and Comfort Trial returns. They do not apply where you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, and they do not limit your consumer guarantees.
Please contact us before returning your chair, as we want to make sure it’s scheduled to be received.
If your chair arrives damaged, develops a fault or isn’t what you ordered, please contact KUUL. This is handled separately from our voluntary returns policy.
Depending on the issue and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we’ll arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include:
For a major failure, you may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement.
You won’t be charged restocking fees or applicable return transport costs for remedies required under Australian Consumer Law.
Where a faulty chair is too large, heavy or difficult to return, we’ll arrange or pay for collection as required by law. You do not need the original packaging to exercise your statutory rights.
Please provide your order details and, where practical, photographs or a short video to help us assess the issue.
There is no 14-day or 30-day deadline for exercising your Australian Consumer Law rights.
Once we’ve received and inspected an approved voluntary return, we aim to initiate your refund within 5–7 business days.
Refunds are issued to your original payment method wherever possible. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available.
For faulty goods, refunds will be arranged within a reasonable time in accordance with your Australian Consumer Law rights.
If you purchased using Afterpay or Zip, approved refunds will be processed through the original payment provider.
The provider will update your payment schedule or refund any applicable payments according to its procedures.
Refunds are calculated using the amount actually paid for the returned chair.
Promotional savings and discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash. Referral rewards associated with returned or cancelled purchases may also be reversed or adjusted in accordance with the referral programme terms.
Free delivery on orders of two or more chairs is conditional on retaining at least two chairs.
If a voluntary return reduces your order to fewer than two chairs, the standard delivery fee that would have applied to the remaining order may be deducted from your refund. This adjustment is made only once per order, not for each returned chair.
Example
You buy two chairs at A$499 each and qualify for free delivery, then return one unopened chair. If standard delivery for a single chair to your postcode is A$39:
Return freight is paid separately. If the returned chair has been assembled under the Comfort Trial, the A$49 restocking fee also applies.
This adjustment does not apply to returns or remedies required under the Australian Consumer Law.
Any product discounts or referral rewards connected to the returned chair will be assessed according to the promotion’s terms.
If you’ve placed an A$10 Founders reservation, you can cancel it for a full refund up to 11:59pm AEDT on 1 December 2026.
Once your remaining balance is paid, your reservation becomes a fully paid Founders preorder.
Founders chairs are offered as preorders, and their estimated production and delivery timeframes will be communicated before purchase.
If you’d like to cancel a fully paid preorder before dispatch, please contact KUUL. Your request will be handled according to the preorder terms disclosed at checkout and your applicable consumer rights.
If KUUL cannot fulfil your order and you are entitled to cancel, we’ll arrange the appropriate refund.
Once your chair is delivered, the same Comfort Trial, unopened-return policy, warranty and Australian Consumer Law protections apply.
If you’d like to change your selected chair model before dispatch, contact us as early as possible.
Changes are subject to availability and production status. We’ll confirm any price difference before proceeding.
